Southwest Chicken & Rice Soup Recipe – Cooking at Home with Cowboy Chicken

As part of our Cooking at Home with Cowboy Chicken initiative, Chef Eddie Russell crafted a Southwest Chicken Soup utilizing Cowboy’s rotisserie chicken. We had one of our team members try out the recipe at home. Below are the results. Enjoy!

It was really good! Very flavorful and the toppings were surprisingly good. I wouldn’t have thought to add radishes so I was pleasantly surprised that I liked them so much.

It was very easy and quick to make, plus it was VERY affordable! Besides the chicken I only spent $10 on ingredients. Win win win!

But the real kicker was adding the Cowboy Chicken Hot Sauce. So good!

Best of all, through Dec. 31, guests receive an additional $10 bonus gift card for every $50 spent.

3. Support Your Local Community

As a show of gratitude to first responders in the communities it serves, Cowboy Chicken launched a turkey giveback promotion during Thanksgiving. Over Nov. 27 and 28, staff at restaurant locations around the country delivered complimentary Rotisserie Turkey Holiday Packages to local fire stations for on-duty firefighters to enjoy.

The newest location in Fresno partnered with Valley Children’s Hospital to host a sneak preview event on Oct. 15 that raised $1,000 for the local pediatric medical facility dedicated to providing the best care close to home for the children of the Central Valley.

4. Kids Eat Free

Cowboy Chicken knows how tough it can be to find a restaurant that satisfies the entire family and doesn’t strain the family budget. That’s why kids eat free on Monday nights. Every Monday from 4 p.m. to close, children 10 and under receive one free kids meal with the purchase of a regular adult entrée at all Cowboy Chicken locations.

5. Wild West Sides

While Cowboy Chicken is known for its rotisserie chicken, the menu of delicious Wild West Sides can’t be beat. No chicken dinner is complete without a side of baked mac n’ cheese, Twice Baked Potaters™ or ranchero beans. As the new year approaches, you might want to opt for the healthier options such as the kaleblazer slaw, tomato cucumber salad or garden salad. The variety of Wild West Sides available is sure to please every member of the family.

@DallasLoveList Friendsgiving Featuring Cowboy Chicken

Thanksgiving is a time to celebrate the blessings in life, and of course have some fun with friends and family while you’re at it!

Cowboy Chicken teamed up with Sarah Mize of @DallasLoveList and @FortWorthLoveList to throw a Texas sized Friendsgiving at Petal Pushers in Deep Ellum.

Dallas Love List grew out of Sarah’s exploration of the Dallas food, arts and entertainment scenes as a newly minted Texan moving from Knoxville, TN in 2012. The platform has grown now to include Fort Worth and has become a go to for foodies looking for edible inspiration across the Metroplex.

Sarah invited 15 of her closest friends who joined up to give thanks and celebrate each others company.

The feast of course featured the Cowboy Chicken Rotisserie Turkey Holiday Package to feed the whole posse! Our catering team delivered a hot & fresh turkey, along with all of the sides including green beans, corn, twice baked potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, as well as apple and peach cobbler. Plus tons of our famous tea and rolls.

When the food arrived, in true foodie blogger style, the phones came out to document the feast.

Overall the night was a success with belly’s full, new stories to tell around the campfire, and appreciation for DFW foodie friends.
